Paint Booth / Fume Hood

Fume hood for painting enclosed with plexiglass.

A conventional kitchen unit was remodeled for the purpose.  The original fan was removed and the top vent was blocked-off.  The original overhead light was left intact.  A flanged air collector was fabricated and fastened to the top exhaust outlet.  2" PVC pipe is connected to a shop vacuum below.

The inlet side of the shop vaccum is connected to the top of the fume hood, while the exhaust side of the vacuum is plumbed through a wall to vent in the outside air.
